SEM PRESSA RETREAT PORTUGAL 2027

Sem Pressa is Portuguese for "without rush." No exact translation captures it, but if you've ever had a slow Sunday morning with nowhere to be, that feeling, stretched over five days, that's what we're going for.

We spend most of our lives moving fast. Notifications, deadlines, the next thing before you've even finished the last thing. This retreat is a five-day break set aside to simply stop doing that. No schedule to race against, no phone buzzing, nothing you have to get to on time. Just mountains, rivers, forest, and days that move at whatever pace feels right.

Your TeacherS

Sofia Basaldua and Jonathan Golding

Jono is a Barbadian-born yoga teacher currently based in London, UK. A lifelong mover, Jono fell in love with yoga for its ability to transform both the body and mind. His classes are dynamic, playful, and high-energy, filled with great music, functional movement, and a sense of community. Having used yoga as a self-led rehab for scoliosis, Jono understands how to create safe, engaging spaces that push students while honouring their unique bodies.

Sofia is originally from Argentina and moved to London to study music production. She discovered yoga around ten years ago and instantly fell in love with the practice. Her first sound bath came shortly after completing her Reiki Level 1 & 2 training, and working with energy and vibration quickly became one of her favourite things to do. A few years later, she completed her Sound Practitioner training with one of her favourite teachers, realising it combined two of her greatest passions: sound and healing. Sofia now gives sound baths that soothe the nervous system, using long, sustained notes to guide the body into deep entrainment.

The Food

Each day at the retreat is anchored by wholesome, seasonal meals designed to nourish body and mind. Breakfasts are simple and energising, think porridge and granola with fresh fruit, homemade sourdough, and freshly brewed coffee or tea.

Lunches feature vibrant, plant-forward dishes like roasted cauliflower steak with chimichurri and seasonal roasted vegetables, alongside options for meat, fish, or additional protein for those who want it.

Evenings bring warming, comforting fare such as spiced black bean and sweet potato stew with homemade flatbreads, herbed brown rice, and a fresh grilled corn and pepper salad. All meals are prepared with fresh, local ingredients, vegan and vegetarian options are available throughout, so everyone leaves the table well fed.
