Retreat Terms & Conditions

 ALAS EVENTS RETREAT AGREEMENT AND LIABILITY WAIVER

 

By clicking “RSVP”, “Buy Now,” “Purchase,” or any other phrase on the purchase button, entering your credit card information, or otherwise enrolling, electronically, verbally, or you (“Client”) are purchasing an Alas Retreat, and you are entering into a legally binding agreement with Alas Events, subject to the following terms and conditions:

In consideration of this Agreement, Alas Events agrees to provide the services as outlined below and the Client will pay in the amount and according to the payment schedule noted below. THEREFORE, Alas Events and the Client agree as follows:

 

1. RETREAT TERMS.

a. The Retreat will include the items listed below:

i. accommodation at Alas selected venue, classes, activities, and coaching throughout the Retreat; breakfasts; lunches or dinners as specified; airport pick up and drop off.  Extra excursion and additional food, items, transportation, and resources may be included at the Alas’ discretion.

b. Client acknowledges that no other costs beyond those described herein will be included.

c. Client acknowledges that any alcoholic beverages shall be consumed at their own risk.

d. Client will inform Alas Events of any dietary restrictions at least fourteen days (14) before the start of the Retreat.

e. The Retreat is planned to be in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain; Client acknowledges that travel arrangements are not Alas Events or Alas Events’s responsibility and Alas Events shall not be held liable for any associated costs necessitated by a change in dates.

f. Wireless Internet access, where available during the Retreat, is not guaranteed and is provided subject to third-party terms and conditions, which are available when accessing the system.

g. By attending the Retreat, you, the Client, are entering an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By attending you consent to photograph, video recording and audio recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for promotional purposes, advertising, and inclusion on websites.

h. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that the Client has all the relevant travel documentation, visas, and travel insurance. Not having the correct documents is solely the responsibility of the Client.

i. Alas Events shall accept no responsibility for delay or cancellation of any flights, trains, buses or other forms of transport.

j. Client acknowledges that all coaching sessions, workshops, and activities will be hosted in a group setting. There shall be no guarantee of confidentiality, and Alas Events is not responsible for the other participants.

2. METHODOLOGY. The coach will employ a range of methodologies. The client agrees to be open minded and partake in methods proposed. Client understands that Coach makes no guarantees as to the outcome of the Retreat. Coaching may include establishing goals, identifying resources, creating action plans, strategizing, and providing models, examples, and in-the-moment skills training.

3. PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY. a. Upon execution of this Agreement, Client agrees to pay to Alas Events a £350 deposit of the full purchase amount.

b. So that the Client is fully invested in this Retreat, no deposit refunds will be issued. Client understands that Client is responsible for all payments whether or not Client is able to attend or fully participate in the Retreat.

c. If the client cancels 60 days or more before the Start Date, the client will be refunded the full amount paid up to that date for the retreat. This excludes the £350 deposit per person which is non-refundable.

d. Cancellations less than 60 days before the Start Date of the Escape are non-refundable and will result in a forfeit of any and all sums paid.

e. Client agrees to pay fees to Alas Events according to the payment schedule set forth on Coach's website, or otherwise provided to Client, and the payment plan selected by Client (the “Fee”). Client shall pay for the program in full.

e. Deposit payments to be done via bank transfer within 1 week of purchasing the Retreat. All other payments will be collected 60 days prior to the Retreat Start time.

4. HEALTH & SAFETY REGULATIONS.

The Client must comply fully with all and any health and safety regulations. The Client must ensure that the Client is medically and physically fit and able to use the facilities and participate in activities. If Client has injuries or illnesses she is advised to seek doctor’s advice if planning to do yoga, hiking, or other physical activities. Alas Events is not liable for any injuries to the Client in the Client’s use of facilities or participation in activities. The client is voluntarily participating in physical exercise that can be strenuous and subject to risk of serious injury during the Retreat. Alas Events urges the client to obtain a physical examination from a doctor before beginning any exercise or training program. You agree that by participating in the Retreat activities, it is at your own risk.
In the event that the client should require medical care or treatment, the client authorizes Alas Events to provide all emergency medical care deemed necessary, including but not limited to, first aid, CPR, the use of AEDs, emergency medical transport, and sharing of medical information with medical personnel.
The client further agrees to assume all costs involved and agrees to be financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such treatment. The client is aware and understands that they should carry my own health insurance.

5. LOSS OR DAMAGE. Alas Events shall not accept any responsibility for loss or damage of personal possessions or valuables of the Client.

6. LIABILITIES. Alas Events shall not be liable for any failures beyond its control. This covers natural disasters, war, other ‘acts of nature’, closure of airports, civil strife, accidents or failure to perform by third parties, including suppliers and subcontractors. Alas Events and Alas Events accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury or illnesses which may be received during the Client’s stay or travel.

7. CHANGES. Alas Events may have to make changes to details both before and after the Retreat has been confirmed and/or cancel the Retreat. Alas Events will endeavor to avoid changes and cancellations but reserves the right to do so. If the teacher must cancel, the Client will be informed as soon as possible and the Coach will reschedule for an agreed upon future date.

8.INDEMNIFICATION. Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Alas Events, Coach, its affiliates, and its respective officers, directors, agents, employees, and other independent contractors from any and all claims, demands, losses, causes of action, damage, lawsuits, judgments, including attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of, or relating to, Client’s participation and/or action(s) under this Agreement. Client agrees to defend against any and all claims, demands, causes of action, lawsuits, and/or judgments arising out of, or relating to, the Client’s participation under this Agreement, unless expressly stated otherwise by Alas Events, in writing.

9. PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE. The client agrees to grant Alas Events permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web- based publications, without payment or other consideration. The client understands and agrees that all photos will become the property of the Alas Events. The client authorizes Alas Events to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any promotional purpose.
